Referral to SevenEight Psychology
There are several ways in which you can access a referral to SevenEight Psychology. Referral pathways are described below in order to make the process as simple as possible. Your GP or specialist will be able to help you work out the best way to access sessions. Referrals can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or faxed to 8691 9119.
To receive bulk billed or subsidised services under the Better Access initiative you need to be referred by your GP or psychiatrist. Your doctor will write up a mental health care plan (MHCP) and a referral letter. I recommend booking a longer consultation with your GP for this. Your GP may recommend a psychologist for you, as they often have a list of people they have used before, however you can request to see anyone of your choosing. You may like to refer your GP to my websites to give them more information.
Department of Verteran’s Affairs (DVA)
To receive bulk billed treatment using your DVA Gold or White card, a referral is needed from your GP, medical specialist, current health care provider or hospital discharge planners. The referral must be on the ‘DVA Request/Referral Form’ or the referring provider’s letterhead, and is valid for 12 months.
No referral is needed if you plan to pay for sessions yourself or are going to claim under private health insurance. Just call or email me to make an appointment.
